Last weekend (2003-02-08) Karlsruhe City Grid, "Central" Germany, hosted its 54th Netrunner tournament, the first one using Argi Flack's virtual expansion R.I.P. The format was Sealed Deck (1 double starter + 1 Proteus booster + 2 R.I.P. boosters per player). We played 4 rounds Swiss system. Final result: opp. TRC Tag games games AP 1. Some runner cards proved very powerful (especially Icepick Prototype, Surveillance and Charity Work) while the corp cards were mostly considered filler material. We'll probably use a draft format next time to allow better chances for RIP combos. The next tournament of Karlsruhe City Grid is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, 2003-03-15, 11:00 AM, in the PTV building in Karlsruhe. The format will be Sealed Deck or Draft. Most probably we'll include R.I.P. again.
